ÔRVA was founded in Greenland by Malik Egede, also known as the rapper Don Maliko.

Raised in Nuuk, Malik left at eighteen to step away from a destructive environment and start again. That decision became part of the foundation for what ÔRVA would later represent.

His interest in clothing began in 2009, working in fashion retail. Years later, touring sharpened his desire to create clothes of his own. He wanted heavyweight silhouettes, a controlled expression and clothing that felt like him. Finding that combination was not always easy.

In autumn 2025, while completing his bachelor’s degree, he began turning that idea into reality. ÔRVA launched on 31 May 2026 with its first collection, Chambre Noire. It paired understated designs with bold graphics, giving equal attention to fabric weight, fit and the balance between subtle and statement pieces.

The brand carries Malik’s experience of changing direction and building something of his own.

ÔRVA, pronounced oorva, draws from a Greenlandic slang expression tied to surplus — the feeling of winning big.
